BY FAITH, WE GO.

"By an act of faith, Abraham said yes to God’s call to travel to an unknown place that would become his home. When he left he had no idea where he was going. By an act of faith ... Abraham did it by keeping his eye on an unseen city with real, eternal foundations—the City designed and built by God." (Hebrews 11:8, 10)

God has given Venture Church a vision to go and reach 10,000 people in the next ten years. Talk about a faith-stretching exercise! Much like Abraham, Venture's journey of faith has required following in obedience before knowing where we are going.

“Great gifts mean great responsibilities; greater gifts, greater responsibilities!” (Luke 12:48)

With plans to launch new campuses in Stone County and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a resource initiative called “Venture Out” was created. Through that initiative, almost 900 people partnered with Venture Church in this God-led movement by making a monthly commitment (pledge) for a three-year period that ends October 2019, and God has been faithful!

The Stone County Campus launched in a cheer facility on Easter Sunday of 2017 with 350 people; hosted almost 400 people during a grand opening at its new facility (converted from an empty bowling alley) on October 29, 2017 and during Easter at Venture 2018, hosted 817 people! Since launching, dozens of people have been reclaimed by God and have chosen to live a life defined by knowing, loving and following Jesus.

In April of 2018, 171 people joined us in Gulfport, MS for our very first Gulf Coast Vision Night. Soon after, Gulf Coast Growth Groups launched, Camp Venture was hosted in two Gulf Coast locations, and Venture’s July At The Movies series premiered for the first time on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. From there, The Gulf Coast Campus began hosting monthly Campus Preview Experiences at Gulfport High School, and on Sunday, April 21, launched weekly Sunday morning worship experiences at 11:00 a.m.

For those who have partnered with us this far, THANK YOU. Thank you for your willingness to go in faith to unknown places to reach 10,000 lives - one person at a time. Thank you for giving generously to ignite this movement. God is using your obedience to sacrificially love the world He gave His life for by reclaiming the lifeless and repurposing them for His glory.

If you were not around in the fall of 2016 to participate in Venture Out or just weren’t able to make a commitment at that time, we ask that you and your family prayerfully consider partnering with us by igniting through giving. No matter how big or small, God wants to write every person who calls Venture Church their church into this story.

In obedience, we follow. By faith, we go.

HOW MUCH WAS PLEDGED TO VENTURE OUT?

Venture Out was designed to provide the resources to launch two new campuses, to update existing campuses and to expand local missions. $3.234 million of the original goal of $5 million was given through pledges to Venture Out.

In addition to pledges, 930 people gave a one-time contribution for a sum of $584,000, bringing the total amount given to Venture Out to $3.818 million.

HOW IS THE $3.818 MILLION FROM VENTURE OUT BEING USED?

$1.2 million of the $3.818 million pledged to Venture Out was used to launch The Stone County Campus. The remaining amount will be used to launch The Gulf Coast Campus and make needed improvements and upgrades at existing campuses (see below for more details).

10,000 STORIES

God has given Venture Church a vision to go and reach 10,000 people in the next ten years. We don't take that vision lightly - 10,000 is not just a number to us. Each number is a person, a family, a community waiting to experience the incredible life change that Christ brings when we're unafraid to share what it means to know, love and follow Him.
