Scripture

Primary Text: Romans 6

Observation & Application

1. What does Paul mean when he says we have died to sin in Romans 6:2?

2. Romans 6:4 says we were buried with Christ and raised to walk in newness of life. What does “newness of life” mean to you?

3. In verses 6–7, Paul says our “old self” was crucified so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. How is this different from just trying harder to be good?

4. Romans 6:11 challenges us to “consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.” What does that practically look like?
