Week Four | Day 3

Read: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

In order to keep our identity from being hijacked by lies and false expectations, we must daily practice bringing our focus back to God. We have a good and loving Father who makes Himself available to us at all times. No more bondage. No more striving. No more performing. Everything we crave is freely available to us from the One who created us - grace upon grace, immeasurable joy, life-giving freedom, peace that passes understanding. We are fully known and accepted, forever forgiven, reclaimed and renamed, never forsaken sons and daughters of God. We are daily made NEW.

We can boldly move forward in our journey of faith, remembering His abundant declarations of love for us:

  • God is the beginning and the end. He is the first, and the last. (Revelation 22:13)

  • God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. (John 1:4-5)

  • God laid the foundation of the earth, and His right hand spread out the heavens; when He calls to them, they stand forth together. (Isaiah 48:13)

  • Before God formed you in the womb He knew you. (Jeremiah 1:5)

  • God is He who blots out your mistakes…He will not remember your sins. (Isaiah 43:25)

  • All who receive Christ, who believe in His name, He gives the right to become children of God. (John 1:12)

  • God will not leave you. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

  • God did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)

  • God will comfort you as you wait. (Micah 7:7)

  • God is making all things new. (Revelation 21:5)

Pray: God, thank you for your promises. Help me live my life boldly for you, and remind me over and over how my identity needs to be found only in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
