Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way
Read Psalms 91:1-2 and 92:4-5
Head
Psalm 91:1-2 says, “Who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my God, in whom I trust.” God and His love are like a huge, strong house that he has prepared a room for us in. He wants our hearts to live here and feel loved and protected. Think about that for a second - He invited you to His home. He has a room, especially for you there. All you have to do is believe and accept His gift.
Heart
What a reason to celebrate! We have a home with Jesus! Psalm 92:4 says, “For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.” My heart rejoices knowing God has promised me safety and protection in His Home. When hard things happen or things get scary, God is still there, to keep us safe and help us be strong- and He is always holding the door open for us!
Hands
Think of one thing that makes you feel scared or worried today. Now imagine yourself putting it into God’s hands. Close your eyes and try to picture Him taking it from you and holding it in His hands now. It can be just that easy; He wants to take your worries from you today. Pray the prayer below to help hand your worries and fears over to God.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for being my shelter and my safe place. Help me remember that You are always with me and protecting me, and with You, I always have reasons to praise and give thanks. Please take my fears and my worries today, Jesus. Come into the space where they live and let Your Spirit fill it instead. I exalt You forever, Lord. Amen.
