Do you ever wonder if God hears your prayers? Do you worry whether you pray correctly?

In Luke 11, the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray. He used the Lord’s Prayer as an example of how to pray. Hold on, because we are going to use His prayer at the end. In this chapter, Jesus also told the crowd a story of a man who boldly went to his friend at midnight to ask for bread to feed another friend. Because of his boldness, the friend gave him the bread. Jesus reminded the group to spend time praying to God and letting Him know the things they need. Prayer is how we tell God how much we love Him, how we feel, and ask for His help. Pray the Lord’s prayer together. After this prayer, talk about any words you do not understand so you can learn about them together.

The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the power and the glory are Yours now and forever. Amen.
