HEAD
Have you ever heard the phrase “choose your friends wisely”? This passage actually speaks to that very thing and more! In chapter 6, Paul is addressing the believers to remind them to show grace to people, to choose good friends, and to remember that our bodies are the temple where God’s spirit lives. When we show grace, patience, kindness, etc., we are showing others Jesus.
HEART
God wants us all to live lives that glorify Him. When we choose friends who encourage us and pray for us, they also help us to make good choices. That directly connects to our hearts, where God’s spirit lives. Our good choices show others who Jesus is. Our mission as believers to glorify God is so much easier when we have other believers around us.
HANDS
Aside from choosing to surround yourselves with Christian friends, what are some other ways you can help point people to Jesus? As a family, discuss how you can live out being a helper for God to bring others to Him. Put those things into practice! In a few weeks, gather again and discuss ways you’ve seen God has been working!
Prayer: God, thank You so much for loving us! Thank You for giving us wisdom through Your Word so that we can live rightly and point others to You through our actions. Help us to show Your love to everyone we meet. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
