Read Proverbs 16:3

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” Proverbs 16:3

HEAD

I was talking to my nephew the other day about Legos, and it got me thinking.

Imagine this: you're building a giant Lego tower. You have a really cool idea, but no instructions. Halfway through, it wobbles. Pieces fall off. Uh oh. That’s what our plans can look like when we try to do everything on our own.

Proverbs 16:3 tells us to commit our lives to Christ. That means giving everything to Him—our ideas, our plans, our worries—and asking for His help and direction. When we do that, God makes our path stronger, straighter, and more meaningful.

God isn’t just watching—He wants to build with you!

HEART

Let’s go straight to the heart: When we try to do everything ourselves, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or frustrated. But when we invite God into our plans—whether it's school, friendships, sports, or family decisions—we can feel peace. We’re not alone.

  • What’s something you’re planning or hoping for right now?
  • Have you asked God to help with it?

God cares about you—about both the big and small stuff.

HANDS

This week, let’s practice letting go and trusting Jesus.

If something doesn’t go your way, pause and pray:

“Jesus, I give this to You.”

You can also make a “Let It Go” jar or box. Write or draw the things you’re worried about and place them inside. It’s a way to symbolically give your concerns to Jesus—and trust Him to take care of them.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for loving us. Thank You for Your faithfulness. You desire for us to trust You with everything. I pray we do that—I pray we give You everything: our fears, our worries, our plans… all of it! Because we know that with You, we will not fail. Thank You, Jesus. It’s in Your name we pray. Amen.
