HEAD

Revelation 20 may be one of the most challenging chapters in the Bible to read and understand. Remember that the Book of Revelation is written by John. John is describing visions given to him by an angel of the Lord. This book is written as a book of hope for those who love Jesus, but it serves as a warning to those who don’t know the Lord. In Revelation 20, an angel locks the devil in a bottomless pit for a thousand years. After a thousand years, the devil is released, gathers his army, and then is “thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur” where he is tortured for eternity. After this, the book of life was opened. Those whose names were not written in the book of life were thrown into the lake of fire, but those who loved Jesus entered into an incredible new heaven and earth.

HEART

The hope…if we choose to accept the Lord as our Savior, we spend eternity with Him. God wins over every trial and difficult circumstance on this earth, and we spend eternity with peace, hope, and joy that comes with being in His presence. The warning…those who don’t love the Lord spend eternity separated from Him in a lake of fire. The lake of fire is scary, but more than that, I want you to know the Lord because of the hope and joy that he allows us to experience. We can’t do this life without Him.

HANDS

It’s time to share the good news about Jesus with others. It’s easy to love Jesus quietly, but I challenge you to speak up. If you love the Lord, tell somebody you love the Lord today.

Prayer: Lord, help me be bold in telling others about You. We love people too much to stay quiet. Help me make heaven crowded.
