Today’s reading feels like a lot of instructions, and it kind of is! This whole chapter basically tells us how we should live. We shouldn’t be dishonest or prideful. We should be kind and turn away from evil. We should be trustworthy and wise. Did you know all of those things point others to Jesus, and that’s our mission while we’re on this earth.

Do you struggle in any certain area? Pride, dishonesty, gossip, etc.? Did you know God can take those areas and make them better? All you have to do is ask for forgiveness and ask God to help you do better.

Write out your prayer asking God to help you overcome those things you struggle with. Share it with your family, if you’re comfortable, so that they can pray for you, too! It helps to have people who love you hold you accountable for things.

God, thank You for Your word that tells me how to live! Help me to put aside all of those things in my life that don’t point others towards you. Forgive me for when I fail. Thank You for Your grace and mercy! We love you! Amen.
