In today’s chapters, chapter 8 really stuck out to me. It talks about the church in Macedonia and how they suffered afflictions, but they still gave generously and joyfully! They gave beyond their means to help others. They gave because of their love for God and His people. 

Is it hard for you to be generous? Sometimes we think we may not have enough money or time to give. We worry about what will happen to us when we should be focusing on the giving and what it’s doing for somebody else. God loves when we give. He uses our giving as a blessing to others and in return we also get blessed. God gives us exactly what we need so we can trust that when He asks us to be generous and give, He’s got our backs. We just have to trust Him. 

If giving is hard for you, I want you to take a step of faith this week and give. It could be tithing if that’s not something you normally do or paying for somebody’s food at a restaurant. Give joyfully so others will be blessed. Your giving also shows them the heart of Jesus, and that’s what He wants!
