Head
What makes a good leader? What makes a good teacher or coach? In Psalm 72, we learn about the kind of leader God wants, someone who is fair, kind, and cares about others. This Psalm is a special prayer for a king, but it also helps us understand what it means to lead with love, just like Jesus, the greatest King of all! Psalm 72 also talks about a king who helps everyone live in peace. That means no fighting, no fear, and people working together with joy. Doesn’t that sound like a wonderful place to live? This Psalm gives us a perfect picture of the kind of leader God wants.
Heart
Even though we’re not kings or queens, we can still be leaders in kindness and fairness wherever we are. That means standing up for what’s right, helping someone in need, or sharing with a friend. When we are patient with others and speak kind words, we are leading with love, just like Jesus does. At school, at home, and even at church, we have chances every day to make a difference. When people see us acting in love, they get a little glimpse of what Jesus, our good King, is like!
Hands
Psalm 72 reminds us that one day, Jesus will come back and bring perfect peace. That means no more sadness, no more sickness, and no more fighting, just joy and love. That’s something really exciting to look forward to! We don’t know exactly when that day will come, but we can live every day with hope in our hearts. While we wait, we can trust Jesus to guide us, help us, and be with us in every moment. We can follow His ways by being kind, forgiving others, and telling our friends and family about how amazing He is. Jesus is the King who will never leave us, never stop loving us, and always keeps His promises. When we remember that, it gives us courage to live for Him, even when things are hard.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for being the best King ever. Help me be kind and fair, and teach me to care for others just like You. Thank You for always being with me and loving me! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
