Read 1 Timothy 3-4

Head

As I began these chapters, I was reminded of our church's goal to lead others to know, love, and follow Jesus. That is what being a church is all about. Our church leadership and elders have the guidelines in these chapters to help them better lead and serve our church. You can apply these qualifications to your life, too. 

Heart

Think about someone you really look up to. Does that person put their family first and always try to make good choices? If you have a friend who is not making the right choices, do you feel good being around them? No matter how old or young you are, it is important to always be ready to share scriptures with others.

Hands

As a family, talk about the characteristics you think are important to be a leader. Talk about people you believe to be good examples. If you are worried about making the best choices, talk about how your family or a friend could help you. Come up with a plan and then take action!

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for our family. Thank You for our church. Please give our leaders wisdom in teaching others to know, love, and follow Jesus. Help me to be the leader You created me to be. Thank You for the example You gave us in Your Son, Jesus. Amen.
