Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way

Read 1 Peter 4:7-11

Head

Yesterday, we talked about being like-minded with Jesus. Today, we will talk about things we can do to show others Jesus during the last days before His return. Read chapter 4, verses 7-11. Verse 8 is so powerful to me. “Love each other DEEPLY, because love covers a multitude of sins.” I emphasize "deeply" because something about that gets me! The definition of deeply is “something that happens to a great extent, a profound degree, or with great intensity”. Jesus loves us that way! That brings so much joy and thankfulness to my heart. Despite all the bad things I do, He STILL loves me!

Heart

Would you say it’s hard for you to love others when they do something mean to you? It definitely isn’t easy, but because Jesus loves us no matter what we do, we are to do the same thing for others. It’s not that we don’t notice when someone does something bad to us. It’s that we immediately seek to make things right. We are kind and compassionate with our interactions and show grace when needed.

Hands

Ask God to help you show love this week. Ask Him to help you remember to have grace for others in the hard moments that come your way and to help you love like He would.

Prayer: Father God, I am so blown away by Your love that never changes, no matter what I do. Help me to extend that same love to my friends and family. Remind me that when things get hard, You are there to guide me and that Your love flows through me. Thank You for all that You are! We love you! Amen.
