Read Psalms 139-140

Head

Is there anyone that you feel like you know everything about? Maybe you feel like you know your best friend so well that you can finish their sentences. Or maybe you know every fact and stat about your favorite baseball player. No matter how much you know about someone, God knows more about you! Psalm 139 tells us that God knows when we sit and when we stand. He knows our thoughts before we even say them. Psalm 139 also tells us that we can’t go anywhere where God isn't. If we are at school, He is there. If we are at home, He is there. We are never alone because God is always with us!

In Psalm 140, David was in danger. He prayed to God and trusted that God would help him. God heard David’s prayers, and He hears our prayers too.

Heart

How comforting it is for us to know that the creator of the world knows us, loves us, is with us, and is protecting us! God knows our every thought and still loves us! We are never alone, because God is always with us! When things get scary, we can trust that God will protect us! No matter where we go, no matter how we feel, God loves us, God watches over us, and we can always talk to Him.

Hands

What is something scary that you can ask God to help you with? Remember, he already knows, but He wants you to trust Him with it and bring it to Him in prayer.

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving us, protecting us, and knowing us. Thank You for always being with us and always listening to our prayers. Help us to put all our trust in You. We love You and praise You. Amen.
