Head: Know God’s Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God’s Way
Read Psalm 86
Head
Psalm 86 is a beautiful picture of a believer crying out to God in a time of need. David was under attack, so he told God everything on his heart. David was likely scared. He knew God was the only one who could comfort and protect him. David asked God to be gracious and to hear his prayer. He praised God for who He is and all He had done in his life.
Heart
That’s exactly how we can approach God. God wants to be in a relationship with us. He’s our loving father! We can pour out all of our fears and anxieties to Him. He will comfort us and keep protecting us. He’s so gracious to us, too!
Hands
I’m so thankful that we have such a loving Father who wants to hear from you when you’re struggling! Like we talked about yesterday, His promises can be trusted. Remember this week, if something is causing you to struggle, pour your heart into Him. Ask Him to be gracious and to hear your cries. And He will because He loves you!
Prayer: Father, thank You for being the best Father to us! You’re so loving, gracious, and kind to us, and we can never thank You enough! Thank You that I can pour out my heart to You and that You listen. I love You! Amen.
