Read Psalms 107

Head

"Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the Lord." Psalm 107:43

Four times, the author of Psalm 107 describes people crying out, "Lord, help!" All four times, the Lord came to the rescue. The lost and weary cried out for help, and the Lord came. The author said, "For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." The people held captive cried out, and the Lord came to help, snapping their chains! The sick and dying cried out for help, and the Lord came, healed them, and "snatched the door of death". Those at sea in a dangerous storm cried out for help, and the Lord made the winds and water be still. Our God is so mighty and so merciful! He is more powerful than we can imagine, yet He comes when we cry out to Him. We have so many reasons to praise Him! 

Heart

The first few verses of Psalm 107 tell us to "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!" It says if we've been redeemed, then we should say so! Don't hide the joy and excitement over the good things God has done for you. Look at the story of God faithfully redeeming his people and how he is pursuing you. Take all of this to heart. Let the joy and warmth of God's love for you seep into your soul and fill all the empty space. He is more than enough. He is better than anything else you think you want. He comes when you cry out for help! He comes even if it's your own fault that you need help! He loves you so much, and he longs for you to call on Him!

Hands

Pull up your favorite worship song on your favorite app or YouTube. Think about the ways the Lord rescued the Israelites. Think about the ways the Lord has rescued you. Sing a song of praise to the Lord. Raise your hands in worship.

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever!" Psalm 107:1

Prayer: Father, I praise You for Your great love! I praise You for Your good deeds! You are my Rescuer and Redeemer. You hear me when I cry out for help, and You come! Your love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. I love You! In Jesus's name, Amen.
