Head: Know God's Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God's Way
Read Acts 19-20
Head
We are continuing Paul’s journey today. Paul was a very busy man on this journey! He prayed over some disciples in Ephesus, and they began prophesying and speaking in tongues. He dealt with unbelievers who talked badly about the Way of Jesus. God used Paul to do some extraordinary miracles in His name. So extraordinary that even handkerchiefs or aprons that touched his skin were taken to sick people, and their diseases left their bodies! Evil spirits left people, and magicians burned their books after hearing the Good News from Paul. He even raised someone from the dead!
Heart
Paul loved and cared for others so well! He continued to pray and encourage others even when it felt like he was getting nowhere. Look what all God did because Paul remained faithful and believed what God said! God wants us to remain faithful to Him as well. Do you know how he remained faithful? He spent time praying, fasting, and listening for the Holy Spirit to guide him.
Hand
How can we put our faith in Jesus this week? Spend some time in the Word as a family. Pick out some stories in Scripture that remind you of God’s faithfulness to us. Write down words that remind you of ways He’s been faithful to you! Ex. Deliverer, Healer, Defender, etc. Remember to stay connected to God by staying in His word, praying, fasting, and worshipping.
Prayer: God, I am so thankful that Your Word is true. Thank you for every promise You have given us. We know Your promises can be trusted. Help us to remain in You. Tune our hearts to listen to Your voice and all that You have for us. We love you! Amen.
