Head: Know God's Word | Heart: Love God | Hands: Follow God's Way

Read 1 Thessalonians 3:12-4:2

Head:

In today’s reading, Paul strongly wants to check on his friends in Thessalonica. He had some struggles and couldn’t get there, so he sent his friend Timothy instead. Timothy found they were doing great and strong in their faith. This made Paul so very happy! 

Later, Paul returned to his friends and reminded them to live in ways that please God, to live peacefully, to work hard, and most of all, to love others more and more. He told them all again of God's promise: that one day Jesus will return, and all who believe in Him will live together forever.

Heart:

Can you imagine running into one of your favorite KXP leaders a few years after you’ve moved from his class? If you tell him how much you’ve grown in your faith or share your testimony with him, do you know how joyous he would be? That is exactly how Paul felt. He loved to see his friends doing so well and being faithful to God’s plan. Try to think of someone who has encouraged you and thank them this week! Share a story of how you’ve grown in your faith.

Always pray to keep moving forward in your faith and to bring others on the journey with you! Don’t forget to share with those who have helped you along the way!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for friends who help me follow You. Please help me be an encourager to others, no matter how old I am. Show me how to live in a way that pleases You, and help me love people more each day. Amen.
