Read Proverbs 9

Head

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)

This teaches that true wisdom starts when we respect, honor, and listen to God.

• “Where do you go when you need to learn something?”
  
• “What does it mean to ‘fear’ the Lord in a good way?”
  

Heart

Fearing God doesn’t mean being scared—it means having a deep respect for Him, wanting to do what’s right because we love and trust Him.

We learn that wisdom begins with God and grows through prayer, listening, and doing right.

Hands

We can ask a friend, teacher, or parent if we need help or guidance in deciding what is right.  There is one source that will never tell you wrong.  God’s Word is a living book that can guide and direct your steps, no matter the challenge and no matter the season that you are in.

Prayer: Dear God, we want to always honor, respect, and listen to you. Sometimes we don’t know what to do, but we are thankful that Your Word can be a guide to help us learn how to be more like You. Amen.
