Begin with two minutes of silence and stillness before God.

Today is a wonderful day to reflect on Psalms 96 and 97 after studying Revelation most of the week. We have so much to celebrate and praise God for!

I'm grateful today for answered prayers from this week. God clearly led me in my next steps regarding a situation in my life. Praise be to Him!

I'm also thankful for the beauty in God's creation—the vibrant fall leaves, towering pines, the sunrise and sunset, the animals in my backyard—and so much more. I see God's fingerprints everywhere. All creation proclaims His glory!

Additionally, I praise God for His provision. He has taken care of me every day, knows my needs for tomorrow, and is already working to supply them. Glory to God!

I'm thankful for my family and friends—such a blessing to have community. Thank you, Lord!

I could go on for hours, listing all the reasons to praise God. He is truly good and amazing.

As Psalm 95:2 encourages, "Let's enter his presence with thanksgiving; let's shout triumphantly to him in song." And Psalm 96:3 calls us to "Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among all peoples."

If you look, you'll find many reasons to praise God. Consider making a list—that's a great start. Even better, think about how you can declare God's goodness and glory to those around you. What might happen if believers consistently lived lives of public praise?

Jesus, You are praiseworthy. I do praise you! Even if things are not perfect today, you are still praiseworthy. You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! I choose to glorify You! Amen!

Take two minutes to reflect in silence.
Reflection:

Use the S.O.A.P. Method to study God's Word.

  • SCRIPTURE: What stands out to you in today's passage?
  • OBSERVATION: What is this text saying? What is the context? How does it fit with the verses before and after it? Are there any commands, instructions, or promises?
  • APPLICATION: How can you apply this verse to your life? What does this mean today? What is God saying to you?
  • PRAYER: Respond to the passage in prayer. Ask God to help you apply this truth to your life and spend some time listening to what He may be telling you.
